Dream Big Because You Know You Can

At 54, Edge has lived a life full of unexpected twists and turns, proving that even in the face of adversity, dreams are worth chasing. Keep in mind that not even depression can stop him. Sure it may slow things down. But never stopping is a sign how he is winning in life. A dedicated teacher for decades, Edge poured his energy into educating young minds, only to retire from the profession when he decided to follow a buried passion for the culinary arts and becoming a chef.

But life had other plans. When his wife unexpectedly lost her job during the pandemic years, Edge found himself back in the classroom, not just for financial stability, but also out of a deep sense of responsibility to his family and himself with what quite possibly is his calling in life -- teaching. Despite the weight of these new pressures, he didn’t let go of his dreams entirely. Standing in front of the chalkboard or creating something in the kitchen, he would find moments to reflect on a desire that had lingered in his heart: becoming a model.

Edge has always admired the allure of modelling, and he believes he has a place in that world with greying hair and all. He is embracing life in his mid-50s, as he dares to be seen, to make his mark in a world that often passed over older faces in favour of youth.

Through sheer persistence, Edge takes small steps toward modelling, starting with local photoshoots, and even taking on small parts in stage shows. To no surprise, he is featured as an aspiring model, a small but significant recognition that proves he is on the right path. It is a sign that dreams are ageless and are worth pursuing, no matter the obstacles or doubts along the way.

Now, Edge stands as a testament to resilience—a man who navigates through the challenges of life and its ever-changing demands, and still finds the courage to pursue the dream of being a model. His story proves that it’s never too late to reinvent yourself, and that success comes not just in the form of external achievements, but in the courage to be authentic and to pursue what sets your soul on fire.
